Studios East Ltd were asked to design and produce a new themed touch pool area to include tropical and native pools. Various concepts were produced and the Sea Life’s team made their choice. The native tank is built as part of a themed fishing trawler and includes a separate rest tank for the sea creatures, a gentle waterfall and a TV monitor built into the wheelhouse. A ‘roving’ camera can be used by guests to get a close look at the creatures, giving an extra interactive element. The trawler is built ‘moored’ to a jetty which is themed with tropical elements and props. Below the Jetty is a colourful, tropical touch pool tank.
